  • What does this Firefox Add-on (a.k.a. extension) do?

    • This add-on is an Amazon shopping and searching tool for the Firefox (and compatible) web browser. This add-on includes:

    • An international Amazon Product Search
    • An Instant Price Check feature to price check any selected text or link

    • 1) Select your desired search text, right-click, and select "Search Amazon for: ..." OR "Best Price for: ..." from the menu
    2) Right-click on any link and select "Search Amazon for: ..." OR "Best Price for: ..." from the menu
    3) Right-click any textbox and select "Search Amazon for: ..." OR "Best Price for: ... " from the menu
    4) Use the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + m on PC or Command + m on Macintosh)
    5) Use the integrated browser search

  • How does the Amazon Price Watcher feature work?

    • A message appears in the lower-right hand corner of the browser: "Watching ... Amazon Items". Clicking on it will display all items being watched.

    Quickly add an item to watch by visiting the item's product detail page on Amazon, right-click the message "Watching ... Amazon Items" and select "Watch Item: ...". The Amazon item number will automatically be entered for you.

    The Amazon Price Watcher will check for price updates about one minute after you start Firefox. Then, it will automatically check every 4 hours or so.

    You will receive a notification for each item which can be purchased at a lower price than the price entered.

  • Why would I want to use the Amazon Price Watcher feature?

    • This feature is helpful if you want to postpone a purchase until the price fits your budget.

    Amazon also offers a 30 day price guarantee. If the price of an item becomes lower than the purchase price, you may request a refund of the difference within 30 days.

  • Is my information shared with anyone?

    • This add-on only communicates with Amazon's servers to retrieve the most recent information about items.

    NONE of your information is stored on any remote computer or server. All Amazon items and information being watched is stored in the Firefox web browser.
